1. Who operates NELARO Publisher
NELARO Publisher is operated by the individual owner of the NELARO music project and its YouTube channel. The application is not offered as a third-party publishing service and is not available for unrelated YouTube accounts.
2. Google/YouTube data the application may access
After the owner explicitly authorizes the application through Google OAuth, NELARO Publisher may access only the YouTube data needed for the owner-facing publishing functions described on this site, including:
- YouTube channel identity and channel information needed to confirm the authenticated target channel.
- Video metadata, including existing titles, descriptions, language/localization information, and identifiers.
- Caption track metadata and caption content for the owner’s videos.
- Localized titles and descriptions associated with the owner’s videos.
- OAuth credentials/tokens issued by Google that allow the application to perform authorized actions on the owner’s behalf.
3. How the data is used
Data obtained through Google/YouTube APIs is used only to provide and improve the owner-facing functionality of NELARO Publisher. This includes reviewing the current remote state, backing up existing caption data, updating reviewed manual captions, inserting missing caption languages, preserving unrelated metadata, updating approved localizations, resuming interrupted jobs, detecting remote changes, and verifying published caption text and timing.
NELARO Publisher does not use Google user data for advertising, profiling, surveillance, artificial engagement, automated commenting, or unrelated analytics.
4. Storage and retention
NELARO Publisher is a local desktop workflow. OAuth tokens, local job state, verification records, and backup files are stored locally on the owner’s device rather than in a public user database. Operational files may be retained locally as long as needed for backup, recovery, verification, audit, or safe resume of publishing work.
The owner may remove local tokens and locally stored job data at any time. NELARO does not intentionally retain Google user data longer than necessary for the functions described above.
5. Sharing and transfer
NELARO does not sell Google user data. NELARO does not share or transfer Google user data to advertisers, data brokers, or unrelated third parties. Data is sent to Google/YouTube only as required to perform actions explicitly authorized by the owner through the relevant Google/YouTube APIs. Disclosure may also occur if required by applicable law.
6. Google API Services User Data Policy
NELARO Publisher’s use of information received from Google APIs is intended to comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. The application also operates subject to the YouTube API Services Terms of Service and applicable YouTube Developer Policies.
7. Revoking access
The owner can revoke NELARO Publisher’s Google account access at any time through the Google Account third-party access/permissions controls. After access is revoked, the application can no longer make authorized YouTube API requests until authorization is granted again.
Google account access controls are available at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
8. Deletion requests
Because NELARO Publisher is an owner-only local application, the owner can directly delete local OAuth tokens, job state, cached backups, and related local files from the device. Questions or requests regarding deletion of NELARO-held data can also be sent to nelaromusic@gmail.com.
9. Website visitor data
The public nelaromusic.com website is an informational static website. It does not provide a public Google sign-in flow and does not intentionally collect Google/YouTube user account data from visitors. Basic infrastructure/security logs may be processed by the hosting/CDN provider as part of delivering and protecting the website.
10. Policy updates
This policy may be updated if the application’s data practices or legal requirements change. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
